Online ordering opens for our 2019 theme, "Never Stop Dancing", on January 1st.  In addition to some of our best sellers from past years, we've added some fun new items to enjoy!

Dancing and music go hand in hand. Music is a universal language and it plays a huge part in key moments throughout our lives. In fact, just the sound of a familiar tune can help uncover lost memories from days gone by. Together, music and dancing combine to keep people moving and happy, and our hope is that throughout the year, our residents and communities will find reasons and ways to Never Stop Dancing!

Last year, our Supportive Living (SL) communities participated in a giant poster coloring project. This year, we’re asking our communities to show off their best dance moves by participating in dance video! Working as a group, each community can determine what song you want to dance to, choreograph dance moves, and then put it all on video to share with other communities!

Each year, AALC hosts activities to celebrate the accomplishments of our seniors and individuals with disabilities within our Supportive Living communities.

Throughout the months leading up to Supportive Living Week we’ll have teams competing in Wii Bowling and Music through the Decades Trivia. However you decide to participate, know that you’re helping us show the general public and elected officials how Supportive Living plays an important role in the lives of our residents.

Together we can demonstrate to everyone that it’s important, no matter your age, to Never Stop Dancing!

We encourage communities to select a theme for their dance party. Great Gatsby? Sock Hop? Roaring 20s? Disco?

Whatever you choose, you’ll then be in charge of decorations, music to play, food to serve, clothes to wear and more! Take pictures of the planning and the actual dance, and then compile it all on a fun, colorful poster board display! Write up a brief overview of what the theme was and highlight all the different things your residents did to make it unique and fun and include that on your display.

The submitted pieces will displayed at the State Championship Finals in Springfield for everyone to see!

The 10th Annual Wii Bowling Tournament will be played tournament style with teams bowling against each other virtually over the course of eight weeks. Teams will bowl two games a week starting in February through April and the top four teams will come to Springfield for the Final Four Championship, which will take place on May 22 and 23, 2019.

Once again, we expect between 80 to 90 teams to register for the tournament. All will be vying to dethrone our 2018 champions, the Eden Strikers, who have reigned as the reigning champs for three years in a row!
