2025 Wii Bowling Guide & Rules

WII BOWLING OVERVIEW & KEY DATES 

What's New in 2025? 
No more regional play! More teams will be competing in the Playoffs, Semi-Finals and the four (4) best teams will be going to the State Championship!

Community Rounds:
Teams will compete virtually within the communities.

Playoffs:  Mar. 24-Apr. 4
25 Teams qualify for playoffs. The top point earners from across the state will compete.

Semi-Finals: Apr. 14-25
10 teams battle virtually for the opportunity to travel to Springfield.

State Finals:  May 14
4 teams meet in Springfield to vie for the title of Wii World Series Champion.


KEY DATES

Feb. 17-Mar. 14:  Qualify for Wii Playoffs:

  • Teams who have registered will submit their three best scores by March 14  to AALC to have a chance to compete in the playoffs. Scores will be sent to: info@me-comm.com. All scores submitted must be accompanied with a photo of the screen displaying the final score.  See the sample email below.
  • The 25 teams with the highest total point count will advance to the playoffs.

Mar. 24-Apr. 4:  Statewide Playoffs

  • The teams that have advanced to regional playoffs from their region must complete three games and submit the scores/pictures to AALC than 5pm on Apr. 4
  • The 10 teams with the highest total point count the playoff rounds will advance to the semi-finals.

Apr. 14-25:  Semi-Finals

  • The teams that have advanced to semi-final round must complete three games and submit the scores/pictures to AALC  no later than 5pm on Friday, Friday, April 25. 
  • The 4 teams with the highest total point count from the semi-final round will advance to the Wii State Championship.

May 14:  The State Championship, Springfield, IL

  • The winners of the semi-final round will meet in Springfield for the Wii World Series.
  • The teams will play a best of 3 series.

Wii Bowling 2025 RULES

1. Register your Wii bowling team to have a chance to qualify to compete in the playoffs and earn a place at the State Championship in Springfield, IL in May. 

2. A team consists of 4 to 6 players (4 players AND up to two alternates) (all team members must be current SL residents and registered on the AALC roster).

3. A team MUST have at least 4 players to be considered for the qualifying round of competition.

To Compete for a Playoff Spot:

Teams must submit three scores/photos to AALC  no later than Friday, March 14, 2025 to qualify for the playoffs. 

The top 25 teams will advance to the playoffs.

The top 10 teams from the playoffs will participate in the semi-finals. The top four teams from the semi-finals will advance to the State Championships.

Teams that qualify for playoffs must be available and willing to travel to Springfield for the State Championship.

 A photo of the television screen displaying the final score for the “league” games must be submitted to AALC along with your team’s scores.

Teams that qualify for playoffs must be available to bowl 4-6 additional weeks beyond the regular season.

Scoring

  • Each game is worth a maximum of 300 points. Additionally, spares and strikes are to be totaled and reported on the bowling score sheet.
  • When a tie occurs, the team with the highest number of total strikes will be considered the winner. If both teams have the same number of strikes, the total number of spares will then be considered.

Note: Teams may use either the “Resort” version or “Sport” version of Wii to bowl their qualifying games, but ONLY the sport version will be used to bowl during the State Championship in Springfield.
