Kelly Cunningham, Administrator
Illinois’ Medicaid Program

Kelly Cunningham, a committed public servant with over three decades of service in Illinois state government, has served as the Administrator of Illinois’ Medicaid Program since March, 2020.  Kelly has worked in a variety of human services and health-related positions under seven gubernatorial administrations in assignments related to budget development, policy analysis, program implementation, personnel management and leadership.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Blackburn College and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.  She was proud to participate in the Medicaid Leadership Institute sponsored by the Center of Healthcare Strategies and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
